Best and Worst of 2008

This list is going to be pretty random and small, but it’s a mishmash of good and bad things for 2008. Not everything below would have been released in 2008, but it was this year that I encountered them memorably.
Best Film - The Dark Knight
Worst Film - The Mist
Best Game - Guitar Hero III
Worst Game - Saints Row
Best Book - Gus Hansen, Every Hand Revealed
Worst Book - Phil Helmuth, Read em and Reap
(okay, so I only read poker books this year really)
Best Beer - Erdinger Weisbier
Worst Beer - Sexy Lager
Best Fine Wine - Muga Reserva Selección Especial 2004 Rioja, Spain
Worst Fine Wine - Oddero 2004 Barolo, Piedmont, Italy
Best London Location - Waterloo Bridge at night
Worst London Location - The OXO Tower - very disappointing
Best Poker Result in one day - plus £450 at the end of session (£400 profit)
Worst Poker Result in one (drunken) day - minus £1000 at end of session (£200 loss)
Best CD - Kimya Dawnson, Remember That I Love You
Worst CD (that I listened to more than once) - Erykah Badu - New Amerykah Part One
Best Television - The Big Bang Theory
Worst Television (that I watched anyway) - Last Man Standing
Kinda ran out of things to list here - I’m not that passionate about stuff I guess.
Must do better in 2009!

Oh Rioja how I miss you, can you believe you can’t get it out here? I’ve found tempanillo but it’s not as good. Bender when I get back at Gordons. Sxx
I expect you to return with a list of wines from NZ stating the name and year and whether they are good to drink in 2009/2010. Had a 2004 Pinot Noir last week from NZ that was pretty darn good…but then my palette thinks that of most things apart from the Scuttlebutt and the above mentioned Oddero (which tastes remarkably like sherry).
