Joost

April 10, 2007

I’m now a Beta tester for Joost:

Joost™

First impressions. Rubbish.

Perhaps I’m ‘too’ beta, as anything I try to watch (namely poker) is ‘currently unavailable’. The message gives an error number but I have no idea where to look it up, and the website doesn’t help much.

Still, I’m a beta tester and you’re probably not - so there!

Nice to hear that your a beta tester, but your views are non contractive and and final comment, well what can i say, a little immature? And by the way I’m also a beta tester, and Joost has HUGE potential ;-)

    Hey Steve,

I agree, the potential is huge - if it does what it sets out to do. I got the download today, downloaded the software and couldn’t load anything from what I attempted to - now whenever I try and load the software I get a startup error, not the best initial impression is left on me due to this.

I will retry, of course, and will report any bugs if there are continued errors - heck, that’s what the Beta version is for. As of right now though, I’m not impressed.

It’s early stages, and I’m facing what seem to be common issues (judging by the support forum) which I’m sure will be sorted - but as I say, first impressions - Rubbish. (I’ve thought the same about other things before, and thought them to be the best thing invented a few months later - time will tell with this).

Right now, I’ll stick to channelchooser.com and youtube.com for my poker watching needs.

    Cheers
